Bush fire resistant water tanks for Australian clients
Our range of bush fire resistant water tanks provide clients across Australia with the valuable peace of mind that in the case of a bush fire, their water supply is safe and secure. Australia is notoriously prone to dangerous and fast-spreading bushfires, particularly in rural and remote areas.
Bushfires can cause significant damage to your building and surrounding structures such as water tanks. The after effects of a disaster like this can be truly devastating. Our bush-fire resistant tanks protect you from losing your water supply in the case of a fire, as they are made with stainless steel, rather than plastic.
Stainless steel water tanks are ideal for fire prone areas simply by virtue of the fact that they are able to withstand the heat without melting. Supporting this, the CSIRO and Monash University have recently conducted research, testing the performance of different types of water tanks subject to bush fires. They found that Stainless tanks significantly outperformed Colorbond Tanks and Plastic Tanks. If you want to be in the safest position possible in the case of a bushfire, stainless steel tanks are the way to go.
Our bush-fire resistant tanks are fitted with CFA compliant fittings, that the CFA are able to connect up to if required (65mm Outlet, Ball Valve and three thread). All our tanks meet the relevant council and CFA compliance requirements for varying BAL ratings and area regulations.
Our tanks can be manufactured to hold a reserve of water meeting the requirements of their permit while also allowing for domestic use that won’t affect the water reserved for the CFA.
