Base preparation is an important part of your stainless steel tank installation. Ensuring you have a solid foundation for your water tank at the outset saves you costly maintenance and repairs in the long run. You must have an adequate tank base in place prior to your stainless steel water tank delivery and installation. Please note Stainless Steel Tanks’ warranty conditions are void where problems arise due to an insufficient base.

Preparing your stainless steel water tank base

There are a range of materials available for your Grade 316 or 304 stainless steel water tank base. At Stainless Steel Tanks, we recommend using a concrete water tank base approximately 100 to 150mm thick and 100 to 150mm wider than the tank.

Other options available include crushed dust, compressed rock, pavers or a stainless steel water tank stand.
